This is the 1964 Chrysler Turbine is part of Chrysler`s history. It is 1/18 scale. Jay Leno has the only one that still runs. It is very nice looking, reminiscent of the best Chrysler styling of the day.

History of this 1/18 Road Signature Chrysler:

When I received this 1/18 Chrysler 1964 Turbine car, I was amazed at all the detail.  It was in fact the first 1/18 Die cast I had ever owned. History of the turbine car:

Chrysler developed the Turbine car as an experiment. In the 50`s car styling was influenced by planes. The idea stuck, if a turbine was good for planes, maybe it was good in a car.  They built a handfull of these to test the theory. It just wasn`t powerfull enough to compet with the old internal combustion engine.

My experience:

I started collecting Die cast cars when I was a young child.  Always enjoyed that activity.  Collecting Muscle cars is fun. Back in the day, they were just cars, but with big motors.  That, to me, made them desireable. It is a guy thing, lining up to a street light, knowing that your car is faster than the one next to you is a good feeling.  Although, you need to be carefull, maybe the other car is a sleeper with a well built engine.  Best be on your toes, try to get that hole shot!  When the light turns green you will find out what he’s got.
